Moisture-resistant
Custom poly shutters
Poly shutters, also called PVC or vinyl shutters, are our moisture-resistant line for bathrooms, kitchens, and humid rooms across Orange County. They wipe clean and won't warp or fade.
When poly is the right choice
Wood is gorgeous in living rooms, but humid spaces ask different questions. Our poly shutters are built for moisture, color-stable in direct sun, and made with the same custom approach as our wood line. You get the look of plantation shutters anywhere in your home, without worrying about a steam shower or a hot kitchen window.
Best for
Bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and pool- or spa-adjacent windows.
Why custom poly shutters
Moisture-resistant
Holds up to steam, humidity, and splashes. Doesn't swell, crack, or peel in wet spaces.
Easy to clean
Smooth, non-porous surface. Wipe with a damp cloth. No special cleaners, no maintenance schedule.
Color-stable
UV-stable formulation. Won't yellow or fade in a south-facing kitchen or sunlit bathroom.
Custom-built
Same approach as our wood line: measured and built to your exact opening, including arches and angles.
Cost-effective
All the durability and custom fit, at a lower price point than real wood. A smart choice for utility spaces.
Made for humid rooms
Bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and pool baths. The rooms where wood struggles are exactly where poly is at home.
Where poly shines
Two rooms where poly outperforms wood by a clear margin.

Bathrooms
Steam from showers, daily humidity, splashes from the sink. Poly handles all three without flinching.

Kitchens
Steam from cooking, grease in the air, occasional splatters near the sink. Wipe clean and they look new.

Common questions
Are poly shutters the same as PVC or vinyl shutters?
Yes. Poly, PVC, and vinyl are common names for the same moisture-resistant material. Our poly shutters are custom-built, not stocked, with the same fit and finish approach as our wood line.
Do you build PVC shutters for Orange County bathrooms and kitchens?
Yes. Poly is our recommendation for any humid Orange County room. It will not swell, crack, or peel in steam and wipes clean. Built at our Lake Forest factory with a lifetime warranty.
Do poly shutters fade in direct sun?
No. The poly we use is UV-stable, so it holds its color in a south-facing kitchen or a sunlit bathroom. It will not yellow the way lower-grade vinyl can.
