La Habra & Lake Forest

Built in Lake Forest, installed in La Habra

La Habra is in the northern tip of Orange County, on the LA County border. The drive from our Lake Forest factory is about 35 to 40 minutes on the 5 or the 57 depending on traffic. La Habra homes we install in tend toward newer-build tract floor plans in Westridge and Sandalwood, and 1960s and 1970s stock along the Imperial Highway corridor and the La Habra Village area.

For most La Habra interior rooms, real basswood plantation in white with a 3.5-inch louver is the most-asked-for combination. The kitchens and family rooms with their sliders to the patio often benefit from our 48-inch panel maximum. For homes along the hillside edge with strong afternoon sun, our Polylux hybrid handles the UV without yellowing.

A few specifics to La Habra: the older tract homes here were built with wood frames that have moved over fifty or sixty years of seasonal humidity. We mill panels to the actual opening, not the nominal opening. The newer Westridge and Sandalwood developments have more consistent trim profiles that we recognize before the measurement visit.

The drive is long enough that we typically schedule La Habra installs as full-day jobs. Once measured, most full-home projects ship and install in three to five weeks. The crew that builds the panels installs them.

Common questions

How long is the drive from your factory to La Habra?

About 35 to 40 minutes on the 5 or the 57 depending on traffic. We typically schedule La Habra installs as full-day jobs.

What's typical for an older La Habra tract home?

Real basswood plantation in white, 3.5-inch louver, panels milled to the actual opening. The wood frames in these 1960s and 1970s homes have moved with seasonal humidity, so stock shutters often don't seat flush.
