Custom plantation shutters in Fountain Valley

Fountain Valley is 17 to 18 miles from our Lake Forest factory, about 20 to 25 minutes on the 405. The FV homes we install in are mostly 1960s and 1970s tract floor plans, built when the city was developing rapidly between the 405 and the 22. Green Valley, the Talbert area, and the neighborhoods around Mile Square Regional Park share consistent trim profiles and window scales.

For most Fountain Valley interior rooms, real basswood plantation in white with a 3.5-inch louver is the most-asked-for combination. The kitchens and family rooms with their original aluminum or vinyl sliders often benefit from our 48-inch panel maximum, which covers the wider opening without requiring a center mullion.

The older FV homes were built with wood frames that have moved over fifty or sixty years of seasonal humidity. We mill panels to the actual opening, not the nominal opening, which means a frame that's slightly out of square at the corner ends up with a panel that still seats flush against the trim. Stock shutters don't handle this. Our mill does.

A 17-mile drive means same-week consultation and install scheduling is the default once material is ready. The crew that builds the panels installs them. Adjustments after install, if needed, happen the same week, not the same month.
