Newport Coast & Lake Forest
Newport Coast is one of the more complicated areas we install in, because almost no two homes we walk into here have the same window layout. The Crystal Cove and Pelican Crest estates were custom-built around their views, which means the openings were specified one at a time, often with arched tops, octagonal accents, or fully unique geometry. A catalog shutter set has no business in these homes. Every panel gets milled to the actual opening.
For ocean-facing rooms (which is most of Newport Coast), our Polylux hybrid or full polyresin is the strong recommendation over real basswood. The salt air, daily fog, and intense afternoon sun are not friends of wood. Polylux has the look and feel of wood with a UV-stable composite shell. It does not warp, yellow, or shrink at the joints.
The Pelican Hill and Pelican Point homes tend to come to us with French-door cutouts, recessed openings, and trim profiles that don't match anything in a catalog. We have a frame library that includes the most common Newport Coast trim shapes, but most installs still require at least one custom profile.
Newport Coast is about 25 minutes from our Lake Forest factory, 18 miles up the 73. Once measured, most projects ship and install in three to five weeks, depending on the volume of custom mill work.

Yes. Eyebrow arches, octagonal panels, sunburst tops, mitered French-door cutouts, and bay-window angles that don't appear in any catalog are standard work for us. We measure the actual opening and the actual angle.
Polylux hybrid or full polyresin, not real wood. The salt air and UV exposure eventually argue with any wood finish, even our ten-step.
A Golden West designer comes to your Newport Coast home with samples, measures every opening, and provides a written estimate. No charge, no obligation.
