San Bernardino & Lake Forest

Built in Lake Forest, installed in San Bernardino

San Bernardino is at the eastern end of our regular service area, about 55 to 60 miles from our Lake Forest factory and roughly an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes on the 91 and the 215 depending on traffic. San Bernardino homes span a wide range: the historic North Park neighborhood with its 1920s and 1930s Spanish-revival cottages and Craftsman bungalows; the newer Verdemont and University-area tracts; the hillside Highland border neighborhoods; and the downtown corridor with mixed older stock.

For the historic North Park homes, the work is custom mill from the start. Original frames have moved with seasonal humidity through nearly a century, and the trim profiles don't match catalog shapes. Real basswood plantation in white, milled to the actual opening and the actual trim, is the right material for these interior rooms.

The newer Verdemont and University-area tracts get standard plantation work in basswood, white, 3.5-inch louver, with Polylux substituted for any west-facing rooms with strong afternoon sun. Inland Empire sun loads are heavier than coastal OC, so Polylux is a more frequent recommendation here.

The long drive means we schedule San Bernardino installs as full-day jobs and aim for early-morning starts to beat the 91 and 215 rush. Most full-home projects ship and install in three to five weeks.
