Villa Park & Lake Forest

Built in Lake Forest, installed in Villa Park

Villa Park is the small, affluent community surrounded by the City of Orange, with most of its housing stock built between the 1960s and 1980s on larger lots. The drive from our Lake Forest factory is about 25 to 35 minutes depending on traffic, mostly on the 55 or the 5. Villa Park homes tend to be custom-built or substantially remodeled, with two-story foyers, bay windows, French doors, and the kind of large window scale that benefits from our 4.5-inch louver and 48-inch panel maximum.

For most Villa Park interior rooms, real basswood plantation in white is the most-asked-for combination, with the louver size matched to the opening scale: 3.5-inch for typical bedrooms and 4.5-inch for the larger great rooms. For west-facing rooms with strong afternoon sun on the hillside lots, our Polylux hybrid handles the heat and UV without yellowing.

The bay windows and arched accent windows that show up in many Villa Park homes are some of our more involved measurements. We mill to the actual opening and the actual angle, not the nominal opening or a catalog standard. The two-story foyers benefit from our continuous tilt rod approach, which means upper and lower panels operate cleanly from a standing position.

Villa Park is small enough that most of our customers here started as referrals from a neighbor whose house we'd done years prior. Most full-home jobs ship and install in three to five weeks.

Common questions

Why a 4.5-inch louver for Villa Park homes?

The larger window scale of these custom-built homes suits a wider louver. A 3.5-inch can look undersized in a Villa Park great room. The 4.5 gives the open-room feel that the floor plans were designed around.

Do you handle bay windows and arched tops in Villa Park homes?

Yes. Custom bay angles, eyebrow arches, and French-door cutouts are standard work for us. We mill to the actual opening, not a catalog standard.
