Oceanside & Lake Forest

Built in Lake Forest, installed in Oceanside

Oceanside is the northernmost beach city in San Diego County, about 58 miles south of our Lake Forest factory and roughly an hour and ten minutes down the 5. Oceanside homes span the full range of coastal California housing stock: Old Town Oceanside and the South Oceanside cottages near the pier; Fire Mountain and Henie Hills hillside homes with east-west sun exposure; the newer master-planned Rancho Del Oro and Ocean Hills tracts; and the inland San Luis Rey neighborhoods.

For any ocean-facing Oceanside home, we recommend Polylux or polyresin over real wood. The salt air, daily fog, and intense afternoon sun are not kind to basswood over the long term, even with our ten-step finish. Polylux has the look and feel of wood with a UV-stable composite shell that holds up indefinitely.

For inland Oceanside (San Luis Rey, Rancho Del Oro, the newer master-planned tracts), real basswood plantation in white with a 3.5-inch louver is the most-asked-for combination. The newer floor plans have consistent openings and standard trim that we recognize before the measurement visit.

The long drive means we schedule Oceanside installs as full-day jobs. Once measured, most full-home projects ship and install in three to five weeks. We try to bundle measurement and install visits across nearby SD County addresses when possible to keep the trip productive.

Common questions

Do you actually drive all the way to Oceanside?

Yes, about 58 miles on the 5. We schedule Oceanside installs as full-day jobs and bundle nearby SD County addresses where possible.

Why Polylux for ocean-facing Oceanside homes?

Salt air, fog, and UV exposure eventually wear down even our ten-step finish on real basswood. Polylux holds up indefinitely in coastal conditions.
